Frightened the he'll out of me first time I tried it, thought I was going to loose a finger. Great product killed 2 rats in my garden the first night I put them out.

This trap has been extremely successful in seeing off an infestation of rats in mine and my next door neighbours garden. We are catching on average three per day but luckily the numbers are on the wain now.

It works better than more expensive electronic traps . Easy to set up and I caught a rat the first night of use and have continued catching rats . Its especially good for catching young rats - the bigger older rats tend to keep away ! All the rats have been killed outright.
The rat took the bait, set off the trap , but managed to either lift the bar off itself or got managed to eat all of the peanut butter and cheese before the bar snapped down.
I am rreally happy with this product. It is easy to use and very effective. I caugjht a huge rat the second night it was set.
