Sky Watcher Skymax 127 MAK Astronomy Telescope with AZ5 Mount

Sky Watcher Skymax 127 MAK Astronomy Telescope with AZ5 Mount Description

The small-but-strong Sky Watcher Skymax 127 MAK Astronomy Telescope with AZ5 Mount 10262 is the ideal Grab-and-Go telescope for high power daytime terrestrial observations and easy visual astronomy so perfect for observing multiple stars, as well as the Moon's and bright planets' surface details. To enhance contrast and image sharpness, its high-resolution, long focal length optical system is multi-coated. The telescope can be used for terrestrial observing because the included erect image diagonal produces an image that is upright and fully adjusted.

Features
Maksutov-Cassegrain optical design
Primary and secondary mirrors feature proprietary Radiant Aluminium Quartz (RAQ) coatings
Corrector plate featuring Metallic High-Transmission Coatings (MHTC) virtually eliminates chromatic aberrations
127mm aperture, 1500mm focal length, f/11.8 focal ratio
Aluminium tube coated with glossy, black diamond metal-flake finish
AZ5 Deluxe Alt-Azimuth Mount & Aluminium Tripod with Accessory Tray

The AZ5 Deluxe Alt-Azimuth mount's attractive, well-engineered, and simple design provide it outstanding stability and accurate control on both the horizontal (azimuth) and vertical (altitude) axes.

The Skymax series, the top line of Maksutov-Cassegrains from Sky-Watcher, offers sharp, contrasty vistas with great levels of detail. Maksutovs are compact telescopes that provide astronomers with a big visual aperture, excellent contrast, and long focal length in a package that is generally regarded as providing clearer images than Schmidt-Cassegrains. These telescopes have focal lengths that are 5-7 times greater than the typical Newtonian or refractor telescope, which allows them to produce higher levels of planetary detail.

Mirrors used in Skymax Maksutovs are made of borosilicate, are polished, and have our unique Radiant Aluminium Quartz (RAQ) coatings applied to them. These coatings create a phenomenal 94% reflectivity. To assist eliminate chromatic aberration, all Maksutovs employ a corrector plate. This plate is then coated with our patented Metallic High-Transmission Coatings (MHTC), creating high-quality optics at a reasonable cost.
