Sky Watcher Starquest 1145P Reflector Astronomy Telescope with EQ Mount

Sky Watcher Starquest 1145P Reflector Astronomy Telescope with EQ Mount Description

Sky Watcher Starquest 1145P Reflector Astronomy Telescope with EQ Mount 10286

The Starquest Series is a lightweight, ‘grab-and-go’ range combining proven high quality Sky-Watcher parabolic telescope optics with the capable and well-engineered Starquest equatorial mount. The mount features a high quality clutch system, precision 122 gear-tooth/360° gearing on both axes and excellent stability with a maximum payload of 3kg. The mount, when polar aligned and used in equatorial mode, allows you to easily track objects as they move across the night sky with its smoothly operated slow motion control cables.

With a useful 114mm of light gathering aperture and a superb 114mm parabolic primary mirror, the Starquest-1145P telescope package is a highly capable all-rounder for the observation of the Moon, bright planets/nebulae, galaxies and star clusters. Supplied complete with Equatorial Mount and adjustable aluminium tripod. Capture celestial images with your smartphone with the supplied Smartphone Camera Adaptor!

Sky Watcher Deluxe Mirror Coatings
The majority of reflectors typically have an aluminium mirror surface coated with silicon monoxide or silicon dioxide for protection. Silicon dioxide creates a far more durable layer than silicon monoxide but requires specialist equipment to apply it and is consequently more expensive. Protection is required because most reflectors have a mirror that is exposed to the weather, and deterioration of the reflective layer lowers the telescope's resolution. For maximum durability and long-term performance, all Sky-Watcher reflectors are standard multi-coated with silicon dioxide.
