Couldn't be more happy than I am with this kettle,I'm ambidextrous and this is just perfect for me,water pours out beautifully boils nice and quick just what you need when ya in a rush..Highly recommend..
This may be a new model as negative reviews refer to the lid coming off when pouring. On this model the lid actually clicks into place and, if anything, some force is required to remove it. Hence the hole in the handle's lid. The kettle can be filled through the spout though. A bit slower to boil than our previous 3kw kettle, but it is quieter. A sturdily made kettle that has a good finish that will not wipe off at first sight of a cloth and it's certainly not cheap looking or have a cheap feel about it. Cord storage beneath is good and the filter is easy to remove and clean. Short spout might not be to everyone's liking, but we find the kettle easy to handle, even when full. Also no problems locating it on the base as with some other models we've had in the past. Switches off when it should and doesn't spit water when boiling. Water level indicator is clearly visible and well marked. No criticism, but the red colour is more a burgundy or deep wine, especially with the black marbling effect. After a week or so we actually prefer this colour to our old 'fire engine' red kettle. Looks classier. Hope reliability is as good as looks and build quality.
