I bought one of these on recommendation from a friend. The squirrels were destroying my bird feeders and my friend said this had solved the problem. I didn’t really want to feed the grey tree rats but this has certainly worked. And it’s also a bit fun to watch them lift the lid to grab a peanut. My bird feeders are safe now. Highly recommended.
Well I have to say I think these are great! One thing I would do is to put a small clear ramekin or something that size upside down. Before adding the nuts. The reason for this is so the nutkins don’t have to reach in so far. Half way is good. Especially if there’s cats. They want to be able to turn round and keep an eye out. I put a walnut or something else to get them started. And well I think the image speaks for itself.......
Working a treat, took the squirrels a day to learn how to open it but now they are straight in for the nuts.
Exactly as described and at a great price. Seems very robust, I just have to convince the squirrels to use it!
