Product description
Supremin is an antitussive medicinal product indicated for use in acute, dry cough. The product is intended for use in adults and children from 2 years of age. The active substance (butamirate citrate) contained in the drug is an antitussive substance. It relieves cough by centrally inhibiting the non-productive cough reflex (dry, tiring), reducing its frequency and intensity. Butamirate citrate acts peripherally by slightly dilating the bronchi in an anticholinergic mechanism, which may facilitate breathing.
Dry, sharp cough.
5 ml of syrup (1 teaspoon) contains:
- active substance: butamirate citrate 4 mg,
- excipients: methyl parahydroxybenzoate, benzoic acid, anhydrous citric acid, sodium citrate, liquid maltitol, aspartame, caramel-orange flavor (E 34493), purified water.
Antitussive, relaxes the bronchial muscles, making breathing easier.
- Children aged 2 to 6 years : 4 mg (1 measuring spoon) 3 times a day
- Children aged 6 to 12 years: 8 mg (2 measuring spoons) 3 times daily
- Children over 12 years of age: 12 mg (3 measuring spoons) 3 times a day
- Adults: 12 mg (3 measuring spoons) 4 times a day.
- The product should be used before meals.
