Action

Dosage

• Premature babies: 2 drops per day (1000 IU of vitamin D3). After reaching 40 weeks of corrected age, the prophylaxis dose may be reduced. Dosing should be determined by the attending physician.
• Newborns and infants (up to 12 months): 1 drop daily (equivalent to 500 IU of vitamin D3).
• In premature babies, newborns and infants, use under medical supervision.
• Children, adolescents, adults and the elderly: 1 drop daily (equivalent to 500 IU).
• Adjunctive treatment in osteoporosis in adults: 2 drops daily (equivalent to 1000 IU).
• Do not use the medicinal product for a long time or at higher doses without medical supervision.

Contraindications

Do not use if allergic to cholecalciferol or any excipients. Contraindicated in cases of hypercalcemia, excessive urinary calcium excretion, kidney stones or severe renal failure, and pseudohypoparathyroidism.

Warnings and precautions

Vigantol is valid for 6 months after first opening. Store below 25C. Keep out of reach of children.
