W5100 is a multifunctional single-chip network interface chip with 10/100 Ethernet controller integrated inside, which is mainly used in embedded systems with high integration, high stability, high performance and low cost. Using W5100 can realize Internet connection without operating system. The W5100 is compatible with IEEE802.3 10BASE-T and 802.3u 100BASE-TX. W5100 integrates the TCP/IP protocol stack, Ethernet media transport layer () and physical layer (PHY) which are all hardware and have been verified by the market for many years. The use of W5100 does not need to consider the control of Ethernet, but only needs simple Socket programming.
