This is a very insightful look into, not only the practicalities of creative wood sculpting in the physical appliance of hand and tools but also the correct mindset needed to succeed in this very rewarding art form. This book will have beginners enthused to start their own projects and discover what confidence can be derived from a completed piece of their own. It did that for me when I first started wood sculpting and have recently bought a copy to give to a friend’s son who is showing a keen interest . . Direct wood sculpting will always be a relevant guide book . .
