The MT6701 is a new generation magnetic angle encoder based the differential Hall effect principle.
The MT6701 senses the magnetic field component perpendicular to the chip surface. As the radially magnetized magnet rotates the chip surface, the MT6701 outputs a corresponding angle signal from 0 to 360.
In addition to providing ABZ/UVW incremental output and Analog/PWM absolute angle output, the MT6701 also provides a 14-bit digital angle output via the I²C/SSI interface.
Besides rotational angle measurement, the MT6701 also provides a "push-button" output, enabling a single-chip rotary/push-button function.
