It supports playback at up to 4K UHD resolution with HDR10 and Dolby Vision support for an enhanced viewing experience. The SHIELD TV features 2GB of RAM with 8GB of storage, which is expandable via the micro-USB port or the microSD card slot. It connects to your local network via Wi-Fi 5 or its Ethernet port, and to your display via HDMI.
The SHIELD TV includes a remote control with a built-in microphone, which supports Google Assistant and Alexa functionality; the Google Assistant is built into the SHIELD TV. A variety of apps are built-in for instant streaming.
