We recently bought a campervan but it has no air-con - just conventional ventilation - and no opening windows in the back, so it can get rather stuffy if you're travelling in the back seat in warm weather. I bought this fan to circulate some breeze in the back while travelling. The fan itself is marvellous- compact, small enough to fit on a surface of about 15x12 cm, with three speeds according to airflow required, and adjustable head position. The suction pad base allows for positioning on a sufficiently smooth surface and of course does not confine the device to one position and avoids sliding when the van's moving. The only downside is that the quality of suction is unreliable. It is prone to detach itself so you can end up having to hold the device while on the move (hence 4 stars). However, the fan is small and light enough to be held in place by a chunk of blu-tack and has such a low vibration that it's unlikely to shake itself loose. It's also very quiet - a boon for use when parked up at night. All in all a great purchase - and less than half the price of its rivals.
