Begonias are great for growing in pots, tubs or at the front of the garden border.

Along with busy lizzies and fuchsias, they are ideal for shady patios as they prefer light shade to full sun.

These Double Begonia bulbs produce big, double flowers in a dazzling array of gorgeous colours and will definitely add a lovely splash of colour to your garden or patio.

Start the Begonias into growth as soon as possible, planting them 2" apart in trays or individually in 3" pots.

When planting, place with the hollow side uppermost, so that the tip of the corm is just level with the compost surface.

Place in a cool position, with good light and ventilation ideally in a cool greenhouse but a windowsill is fine.

When growth starts increase the temperature and protect them from strong sunlight until they become established.

Harden plants off by moving them outside after all risk of frost has passed. Water regularly throughout the summer, but avoid water on the foliage as this may cause scorching.

Feed every couple of weeks and remove spent flowers regularly to prolong the flowering season.

Can grow up to 24" and guaranteed to make a show-stopping display in your containers and borders.

The tubers can also be over-wintered, lift in autumn before the first frosts, clean and dry them off, dust with a good fungicide and store in a frost-free place.
