Simply connect the August set-top box to your TV using the included HDMI cable for a fuss-free connection that's ready in a matter of minutes.
This receiver and recorder HD box allows you to watch Freeview TV with a brilliant 1080p resolution, for a clear image that the whole family can gather around. With no irritating monthly subscription to pay, you'll be able to enjoy hours of quality entertainment without the eye-watering bill at the end of the month.
Once you've effortlessly connected your TV to the set-top box using the included HDMI cable or via a SCART cable (not included), you'll be able to watch and browse through the hundreds of free to air television listings. You can even record your beloved TV shows and movies, so you'll never miss a second of your favourite soap opera drama.
Utilising the USB port, you can schedule and record straight to external hard drives and USB sticks for unlimited and uninterrupted watching, no matter where you are. The DVB415 Set-Top Box by August International is a medium-sized Freeview Box with an elegant sleek style that should match any room in the home or caravan. Simple to set up and use, capable of receiving full 1080p HD Channels, PVR recording and live channel pause, never miss a programme again. an existing roof-top or portable aerial is required to receive Free-to-Air Freeview Channels.

Watch 1080p HD Freeview
Watch Free-to-Air Standard Freeview channels and stunning HD channels with the HDMI output connection. This Freeview Receiver and Recorder is simple to connect and gives you the benefits of Full HD Freeview channels such as BBC1, BBC2, ITV, C4, C5, BBC News and many more. 7-Day EPG (Electronic Programme Guide)
With the EPG Feature, you can view and swiftly browse the television programmes for the next seven days on any particular channel, quickly setting up scheduled recordings or auto-change channels with programme schedules, so you never miss your favourite show. Your favourite channels can be stored and customised for your channel surfing and streamlining your viewing.
Record, Pause and Rewind Television Channels
The August DVB415 can pause and rewind live Freeview television using its timeshift function and built-in Multimedia player. And The Multimedia player can also allow you to watch movies, view photos and listen to music from a USB Memory Stick. Recording a television channel is as simple as pressing one button. All recordings are available to view using the Set-Top Box's PVR Player, and You can also transfer the USB Memory Stick to a PC to continue watching what has been recorded.
Please Note: A USB 2.0 Only Memory Stick is required to use the recording functions with a maximum of 1TB in size.
Settings and Video Outputs
The Set-Top Box's aspect ratio can be set to 16:9 Pan & Scan, 4:3 Full, 4:3 Letterbox or 4:3 Pan and Scan.
The resolution can be switched between 1080P, 1080i, 720p and 576p, and The August DVB415 automatically adjusts to your television settings.
For Video Outputs you can choose to use the HDMI Cable (Supplied) to take advantage of the Freeview HD Channels or use a SCART cable for older television models, making the DVB415 available on almost any television. For Parental Controls, to sensor channels, a pin-controlled parental system can be set up to require an access code to be inserted before viewing any channels you would like blocked.

Despite initial hesitance I bought this bargain as a substitute for Windows MediaCenter when Microsoft ended support for Windows 7. The recorded files are .mts, which play fine in Windows Media Player.
The remote control allows more features than average but is somewhat tiny. read more

Freeview Recorder works well easy to set up, really pleased at a good price. Would recommend to a friend or anyone else.

Really Happy with this product. Was a little sceptical with the price tag as low as it was but great little box. An extra purchase of a usb stick and its easy to use and records too. Would recommend this product definately!
