CROCUS Ard Schenk

Crocus chrysanthus, often referred to as The Snow Crocus.

Blooming earlier than the traditional large flowering Crocus Ard Schenk is often viewed as a herald of spring.

Pretty oval petals form the perfect goblet shaped flower.

Very early flowering (sometimes in February) the pure white blooms of Crocus Ard Schenk have a golden-yellow throat and often appear to glisten in the early spring sunshine.

These spring gems growing just 8-10cm tall can be used in many different ways, sprinkled randomly across the lawn, grouped together at the border edge, in the rock garden, under trees and shrubs and grown in shallow tubs, pots or containers.

Very easy to grow, they prefer a light, sandy or gritty, well-drained soil in full sun and if left to naturalize they will increase in number and return each spring to signal the end of winter.

Bulbs which have been in the ground for some time tend to bloom a little earlier than newly planted ones.

Crocus Ard Schenk is a good source of nectar and pollen for bees and other beneficial insects.

Due to the nature of the goods we cannot accept any responsibility for their failure after planting as pests, disease, poor horticultural practice, extremes of weather and many other factors outside our control all take their toll. Crocus Ard Schenk will only be accepted for return after seller has been informed and given permission. Refunds will be issued after items are received back in a saleable condition within 14 days from original dispatch date. Buyer must pay all return charges except where an item has been shipped in error.
