AMARYLLIS Orange Sovereign

Although commonly known as Amaryllis most of the bulbs offered for sale in autumn are really varieties of Hippeastrum.

Originating in the tropical mountain regions of Chile and Peru these amazing flowers are one of the easiest plants to bring into bloom.

In winter and early spring clusters of lily-like flowers are produced on thick stalks or stems over an extended period.

These large flowers and the ease with which they can be produced have led to Amaryllis being in demand all over the world.

Flowering approximately 7-9 weeks after planting these fantastic plants are ideal for brightening up your home during the dark days of winter.

Amaryllis Orange Sovereign produces large satin like flowers in rich, clear orange with a darker center.

The blooms often measuring 20cm across have gently recurving petals and are carried on strong stems around 60cm tall.

Our carefully prepared bulbs require nothing more than a warm temperature, good light and attention to watering to deliver a truly spectacular performance.
