Amaryllis Splash. Huge 42-44cm Bulbs. Bicolour

Amaryllis Splash. Huge 42-44cm Bulbs. Bicolour Description

Amaryllis Splash

Amaryllis Splash is a striking cultivar of the beloved Amaryllis (Hippeastrum) known for its dramatic bicolour blooms that create a stunning visual impact.

This particular variety features large, trumpet-shaped flowers with bold white petals dramatically streaked and splashed with deep red or crimson markings, creating an artistic, almost painted appearance that gives the cultivar its descriptive name.

The flowers typically measure 6-8 inches across and appear on sturdy stems that can reach 18-24 inches in height.

Like other amaryllis varieties, Splash produces multiple blooms per stalk, usually 2-4 flowers, with each bulb potentially sending up multiple flower stems throughout the blooming season.

This bulbous perennial is prized for its reliability and spectacular winter blooms, making it a popular choice for Christmas displays and indoor forcing.

The bulbs are relatively easy to grow, requiring well-draining soil and bright, indirect light.

After blooming, the strap-like green foliage emerges and should be maintained to nourish the bulb for the following year's display.

Amaryllis Splash combines the classic elegance of traditional amaryllis with eye-catching colour contrast, making it an excellent choice for gardeners seeking dramatic focal points in their winter flower arrangements or as impressive potted specimens for indoor enjoyment during the dark winter months.

Our Amaryllis are supplied as huge bulbs (Size 42-44) capable of producing a number of flower stems and should not be confused with the smaller bulbs offered elsewhere.
