FRENCH MARIGOLD. Tagetes erecta

FRENCH MARIGOLD. Tagetes erecta Description

FRENCH MARIGOLD

Tagetes erecta nana

A compact annual with green divided foliage and dome headed flowers in red, yellow, orange and mahogany-brown.

Very floriferous, the pretty flowers also make excellent companion plants in the vegetable garden where their root secretions kill nematodes in the soil and the distinctive fragrance is said to help repel whitefly and other destructive insects.

Removing the dead flower-heads, helps prolong the blooming period by a considerable time.

Use in flower beds, borders and containers.

All pictures used are of mature plants and are for illustration purposes only. They may not necessarily reflect the plants at all times of the year.
