Nasturtium Seeds – Tall (Tropaeolum majus) Description

Nasturtium Seeds - Tall (Tropaeolum majus)

Bring Vertical Colour to Your Garden with Tall Nasturtium Seeds

Tall or climbing nasturtiums are vigorous, trailing plants that can reach 6-10 feet in a single season. Unlike compact bush varieties, these climbing types produce long, winding stems that scramble over fences, trellises, or cascade from hanging baskets in waves of vibrant colour.

Features & Benefits of Nasturtium Seeds

• Stunning Flowers: Brilliant spashes of orange, red, yellow, and cream with a distinctive spurred shape, flowering continuously from early summer until the first frost.

• Edible Leaves & Flowers: Both have a peppery, watercress-like flavour, perfect for salads, garnishes, and culinary decoration.

• Lush Foliage: Round, lily-pad-like leaves in vibrant green, often with a slightly waxy texture.

• Easy to Grow: Thrives in poor to moderate soil; avoids overly rich soil that promotes foliage over blooms.

• Sun & Drought Tolerant: Prefers full sun, tolerates partial shade, and once established, withstands dry conditions.

• Garden Benefits: Ideal for covering unsightly structures, creating living screens, or adding vertical interest to cottage gardens. Acts as a trap crop for aphids, protecting other vegetables.

• Low Maintenance: Prolific flowering with minimal care makes these climbers a favourite for gardeners seeking charm and convenience.
