Beetroot Taunus F1

Beetroot Taunus F1 Description

Unwins Beetroot Taunus F1 Seeds create cylindrical, deep red beets. These can be grown as baby beets and harvested early, or left to mature to full size.

Rich in antioxidants and perfect for roasting, the large tops are also delicious as salad leaves.

Sow: Mar to Jul
Harvest: Jul to Oct

Sowing Outdoors
Sow seeds thinly, direct into the required harvest position, 2.5 cm deep. Keep soil moist at all times to prevent roots from becoming dry and woody. When seedlings are large enough to handle, thin out to 10 cm apart.

Growing On
Use thinnings in baby leaf salads. Protect crops from frost or cold wind with fleece.

Aftercare
Beetroot can be lifted and stored in sand; ensure they are kept frost-free.
