Onion (Globe) Globo Description
Unwins Onion Globo Seeds produce early maturing, large, show-worthy onions that can grow up to 1kg in weight if sown early.
They have a great, mild flavour so perfect for adding into salads raw or cooked in your favourite dishes.

Harvest: Aug to Sep
Sowing Indoors
Almost fill a seed tray or modules with moist seed compost. Sow seeds thinly and cover with a little more compost. Place in warmth (15-20 C).
Growing On
Keep seedlings in a light position, but out of direct sunlight. When large enough to handle, transplant 5 cm apart into trays of potting compost.
Hardening Off / Planting Out
Gradually accustom plants to outside containers for 2-3 weeks before planting out to their cropping positions. Space plants 15 cm apart with 30 cm between rows.
Sowing Outdoors
Sow seeds thinly in a pre-watered shallow row, lightly covering with a little soil. Keep moist in dry spells.
Thinning
Thin seedlings to 15 cm apart to allow full development of the bulbs.
Advice
Lift onions and spread out to dry on a clean surface in a well-ventilated garage or shed before storing for winter use.
