Tomato (Cherry) Bitonto F1 Description
Unwins Cherry Tomato Bitonto F1 Seeds produce masses of glossy, cherry-sized fruits that are perfect for growing in pots.
This compact, bush variety are easy to grow and flourish on a sunny patio. Tomatoes are hungry, thirsty plants so remember to water regularly.

Harvest: Jul to Sep
Sowing Indoors
Level-fill a module tray with seed compost and firm gently. Water well with a fine rose. Sow seeds individually and lightly cover with vermiculite. Place in a propagator at 18-20 C or cover the tray with cling film and leave in a warm room. Keep moist.
Growing On
When shoots appear, remove cling film. Keep seedlings in a bright position, shaded from direct sunlight. When plants have 4 leaves, transplant to 8 cm pots of potting compost. Grow coolly at a minimum temperature of 15 C.
Planting Out
Gradually acclimate plants to outdoor conditions over 2-3 weeks before planting out when temperatures exceed 10 C. Transfer to growbags or large pots (minimum 30 cm), either in a greenhouse or a sunny, sheltered spot outside.
Support
Bush/determinate type-no need for support or pinching, as they naturally form a multi-stemmed shape.
Advice
Tomatoes are thirsty and hungry plants. Feed and water regularly and ventilate your greenhouse on warm days.
