Courgette Black Beauty A compact and very heavy fruiting variety producing smooth, glossy, dark green courgettes. The flesh of Black Beauty has a great texture, is very tasty and rich in vitamin C. Fruits are ready when the are 6-8 inches long and if picked regularly can be harvested from July to October. Very versatile, Black Beauty can be used in many different ways in the kitchen, it can be roasted, steamed, stuffed and also added to numerous Mediterranean dishes. It is so versatile that even the bright yellow flowers that precede the fruit can be picked and used in many recipes These flowers are also very attractive to many pollinating insects. Very easy to grow and its compact habit makes Black Beauty suitable for growing in containers if space is limited. Can be grown indoors in the glasshouse or outdoors in a sunny sheltered spot.
