High yielding French Bean Purple Queen produces long (slightly curved) pods .

The plants also have pretty purple flowers, so pretty you might want to grow them in the flower garden as well.

Very easy to grow this string-less type bean crops over a long period.

Pods should be picked when they are young and regular picking encourages cropping over a much longer period.

Delicious when eaten raw and if cooked they change colour to a really appealing dark green.

Said by many to be one of the best flavoured of all beans.

Best when grown in a sunny, sheltered spot in well-drained soil with plenty of organic matter added.

Growing upright, compact and bushy Purple Queen is also suitable for growing in pots, tubs and containers.

Plants should be kept well-watered, especially during dry spells.
